Motorists who accidentally enter the wrong vehicle registration details when paying for parking will have their fines thrown out under new rules for private car parks. The British Parking Association (BPA) has announced details of a new code of conduct ahead of an anticipated country-wide code being introduced by the Government.
Part of the BPA code covers instances where a driver has incorrectly entered their car details when paying for parking. Previously, such errors could see them charged up to £100 but under the new rules, parking operators may have to cancel the fine at the first stage of appeal. If any of this information is incorrect, you may be able to challenge the PCN on those grounds.
